Fill 1–9 into every row, column and 3×3 box against the clock and see how high your speed ranks.
What is Sudoku?
Sudoku is a number puzzle on a 9×9 grid split into nine 3×3 boxes. Fill in 1–9 with no repeats in any row, column or box. No arithmetic, just logic, which makes it a brain game for every age.
On NewSance Game you can play Sudoku online free on 3 levels: Easy gives about 40 clues, Medium about 32 and Hard only around 25. Every board is freshly generated with exactly one solution.
Tips to solve Sudoku faster
- Start with common numbers. The counter on each button shows what is left, and numbers with few left are easiest to place.
- Scan box by box. Ask whether a number has only one possible cell in that box.
- Use notes only when stuck. Notes help a lot, but noting every cell costs time.
- Use the keyboard on desktop. Press 1–9, arrows to move, Backspace to erase, N to toggle notes.
